A Certified Coach and Experienced Presenter
I
am a seasoned, IAC-certified mentor coach with more than 20 years of experience
working internationally with individuals and corporations. What does it
mean when a coach is IAC-certified? A leader in the field has recently
said, "Out of the thousands of coaches who've signed up to get certified...in
the past 5 years, only a handful have succeeded. IAC certification means
the coach is genuinely great." I am proud to be one of those hand-picked,
high-performing coaches.
I work with both individual and corporate clients. I am especially focused on presentations and workshops; recent venues include Morgan Stanley in New York City, HSBC Montreal, 92nd St Y, NYU School of Continuing Education, Ladies Who Launch.
As creator and founder of "The Visibility Project" and the Women Inventing Themselves (WIT) network I specialize in helping women assume greater visibility in both familiar and unknown directions, Time magazine quoted me as an expert on that subject in a cover story on women at midlife (Please visit www.visibilityproject.com to learn more.)

The Fear To Appear
The focus of much of my work as a visibility coach is on boosting clients' confidence when presenting in the public arena. (Public speaking is known to rank high among the common fears of both men and women.) We all need a way to anchor the confidence-building gained in coaching sessions for easy access in more challenging environments.
Scents as a Secret Anchor and Ally
Drawing upon my long-time experience with yoga and meditation, I first addressed the need to anchor confidence by introducing conscious breathing into visibility coaching. My NLP and hypnosis training contributed the idea of using the sense of smell. Studies in aromatherapy inspired me to anchor desired states (confidence, self trust, clarity to name a few) by inhaling with essential oils. My clients (and I!) found this really works. That's how Scentient Beings was born.
My Multifaceted Career
I began as a dancer and later I became a freelance journalist for the International Herald Tribune, the New York Times and Vogue, among others. I have written about culture, lifestyle, education, feminist spirituality and parenting. I co-authored a book called In Performance and published a quarterly magazine, Kids Extra!, a guide for the international family living abroad. I have an MA degree in Education from Columbia University, and directed my own consulting firm for over a decade while raising a family in France.
An AHA moment: Yours and Mine
After a few sessions, my clients almost always had breakthroughs. But these shifts to desired states were not always sustainable especially in old toxic environments. The truth is that environment always prevails. Then I realized that scents were not only anchors, they were a whole new supportive environment, a protective space within even the most toxic arenas. AHA. I invite you to diffuse the blends in your home and office and create the environment you need for your personal evolution.
Welcome to your Scentient Beings, the scents to be your best self.
